Hello!  My name is Darrell Reinwald, President of Trains Across America.

I have been designing and building 'interactive' train and toy displays with animation for nearly 10 years.  I have a 24-foot cargo trailer in which I build three seasonal displays each year:   Summer-time, Halloween & Christmas.  Each display has it's own theme with animation and interactive push-button controls.  I travel locally for the three events.

I  have a Spring-time/Easter Bunny display that is also available.

I started with a huge train display in my basement.  Many people came to visit my display over the years.  A major local network TV station came to video my display.  They interviewed me and my wife Pat and it was viewed on the local evening news

Over time, I came up with the idea of a traveling trailer where I could take my displays 'to the people' instead of them coming to me.  It was very successful and we are now fully insured and hired to work with several City and local businesses & organizations for each occasion.  Over 20,000 people a year come to see the three different displays.

The toy display was started as an addition to the train displays for the enjoyment of toy  enthusiasts.

As the new decade begins, so does a new permanent home for Trains Across America.  My 20-year dream of one day opening a model train and toy museum will soon be a reality.  Housed in a 5,000+ sq ft building in Macon, Missouri, will be many of the train and toy displays some of you have seen in the past, plus many more displays that have never been viewed before.

You can preview the progress being made to the Museum by clicking on the "Museum" button below (available soon).  Anticipated opening date is Fall 2012 or possibly sooner.

When completed, I hope to see you all there and look forward to your visit!

Sincerely,

The Reinwald’s, owners
